January 2009 was the 10 year anniversary of KICKS Exceptional Shoes being in business. While trying to think of ways to mark this milestone, another friend was diagnosed with breast cancer. I choose Saturday, May 9th for KICKS Exceptional Shoes to sponsor a  "Get In the Pink" 10K race to raise money for cancer research. The race was a sanctioned 10K race that began and ended in front of KICKS Exceptional Shoes on Devine Street that was preceded by the "Stiletto Sprint" also on Devine. The culmination of the day was a celebratory party that evening at the beautiful Saluada River Club Chickawah Outdoor Center in Lexington.  May 8, 2010 will be the date for the "Get in the Pink" 10K race and party.  Please call 254-3937 for information on how to sponsor or get involved.
